I rented a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 for a 6-day road trip across Chennai, Yelagiri, and Yercaud, and the experience was flawless. The bike was handed over in pristine, top-notch condition and was perfectly serviced—not a single issue across the entire 1,200 km journey. Their 200 km/day daily limit is highly competitive and much better than what most rental shops in Chennai offer. Just keep in mind that there is an upfront security deposit of ₹10,000, but it was refunded promptly. Highly recommended!

I recently completed a bike trip to Kolli Hills with their fleet, and it was an absolutely fantastic 5-star experience! The bike was Himalayan 450cc and they provided it in perfect condition—smooth, well-maintained, and completely hassle-free. The Reason why I have it a one star review and not booked the vehicle was because of the pre booking experience. Had to to call the person multiple times to enquire about the prices and the bikes availability. Finally the person answered he spoke as if he his doing me a favour of renting the bikes . Secondly when I asked him whether I can see the bike in person before booking /paying the amount, as there are numerous such scams where they take the money and stop responding , the person responded rudely by saying this is not our policy need to pay the full amount before booking and by seeing the one star reviews where people went to the shop and the shutter was down only compounded my worries . Either go via app based services and avoid these .

We rented a Himalayan 450. The bike was in top notch condition. We did roughly 1600 km trip chennai-pondicherry-rameshwaram-kodaikanal-chennai. The Bike gave no issues.
Vikram is a great guy.He is very helpful. They also gave us good helmets, an Axor helmet. They promptly returned our deposit. Renting bike from here is highly recommended.

Took the Hunter 350 for a short yelagiri trip.
Bike was new and the condition of the bike was top notch.
Whole process was hassle free. The owner himself suggested route for the trip which was best part of the trip. The route was very scenic and blissful to ride.

We booked the bikes for rent from New Zealand. Vikram was quite responsive from the beginning. When we arrived at the bike store, he let us keep our luggage at the store for 3 weeks. Supplied all the necessary things for us to get going. Bikes were in mint condition and we did not have any problems through the 3 weeks to riding. Highly recommend date a bike.

I am a biker. I travelled from Delhi to Chennai for some work. I had one Sunday off during my stay. I wanted to do Chennai to Puducherry solo biking trip, which is a very sought after route by bikers (especially through East Coast Road, ECR).
Rented a Meteor 350 for 24 hours and did the trip. Also explored nearby famous places in Chennai in the next day.
The bike was in good condition and the owner is also a professional. I had a good experience. Only thing is that the cost was on the higher side.

I needed a 350cc motorcycle for my ride to Yercaud and Mr. Vikram hooked me up with a Meteor 350.
The bike was in excellent condition and it covered the entire 700 km round trip journey without breaking a sweat.
I’m brand new to the whole concept of touring and I definitely knew I needed to rent a bike. I was scouring the web for good rental bike dealership and stumbled across DAB. And, there were a few strong reasons for me to choose DAB and Mr. Vikram.

I took RE meteor for a day ride to Yelagiri from Chennai on last Saturday… it was very nice trip. The bike condition was good and new. Thank you Vikram for ur prompt response and delivery. The only problem I faced during night time, the head light was not that much powerful.

Very good place to hire a bike for long rides. Bikes are in a great condition and we can hire gears as well. Especially thanks to Vikram for arranging the bike early morning. Initially I thought the prices are in the higher side. But they are providing higher km range, which looks affordable than others.

We arranged to hire two royal enfield classics for a week and asked to meet at the airport so we could set straight off upon arriving in India. Super communicative, we had a photo of the bikes a couple of days before to say they’d had their checks and were ready. The bikes came with mobile holder and bungee chords which was helpful. We were making our own way round Tamil Nadu which was just fabulous. Would use again and recommend to everyone

We had rented out the Himalayan and Meteor 350 for 3 days.(1250 kms ride).
Both the bikes were in top notch condition.
The process of hiring the bikes was very smooth.
Vikram at DAB was very friendly and professional at the same time. Very quick response to all queries.
The drop and pick up service was a great plus point(50 kms from the city).
They also provide good quality riding gears at an extra cost.

Update - March 2021: It's been a few years of riding bikes from DAB and I have permanently put off my decision to invest in a big bike. Happy with my commuter bike for local runs and the choice of the big ones for that occasional long ride! Had a good time on the Harley Street 750 a year ago. My last ride was with their RE Interceptor 650 and it was a bliss riding the sweet 650cc parallel twin!! The service has been impeccable and the number of options that I can choose from the DAB stable is only increasing!! I think I will just buy an electric scooter for local commutes and enjoy the variety that DAB offers!! 😉

Very good place to hire a bike for long rides. Bikes are in a great condition and we can hire gears as well. Especially thanks to Vikram for arranging the bike early morning. Initially I thought the prices are in the higher side. But they are providing higher km range, which looks affordable than others.

We arranged to hire two royal enfield classics for a week and asked to meet at the airport so we could set straight off upon arriving in India. Super communicative, we had a photo of the bikes a couple of days before to say they’d had their checks and were ready. The bikes came with mobile holder and bungee chords which was helpful. We were making our own way round Tamil Nadu which was just fabulous. Would use again and recommend to everyone

We had rented out the Himalayan and Meteor 350 for 3 days.(1250 kms ride).
Both the bikes were in top notch condition.
The process of hiring the bikes was very smooth.
Vikram at DAB was very friendly and professional at the same time. Very quick response to all queries.
The drop and pick up service was a great plus point(50 kms from the city).
They also provide good quality riding gears at an extra cost.

Rented a RE Interceptor from them for a couple of days.
From the time of initial communication, i got the bike delivered to my doorstep in less than 2 hours! Very professional process.

Update - March 2021: It's been a few years of riding bikes from DAB and I have permanently put off my decision to invest in a big bike. Happy with my commuter bike for local runs and the choice of the big ones for that occasional long ride! Had a good time on the Harley Street 750 a year ago. My last ride was with their RE Interceptor 650 and it was a bliss riding the sweet 650cc parallel twin!! The service has been impeccable and the number of options that I can choose from the DAB stable is only increasing!! I think I will just buy an electric scooter for local commutes and enjoy the variety that DAB offers!! 😉

How much does it cost to rent a Royal Enfield in Chennai?
Daily rentals start from ₹1,500 depending on the Royal Enfield model, duration and season.
What is the daily kilometre limit?
Most motorcycles include 200 km per day. We offer the highest per day kilometer limit in Chennai Additional kilometers are chargeable depending on the model.
Can international travellers rent motorcycles?
Yes. Riders from Australia, Germany, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, Czech Republic, UK and many other countries have toured South India with Date A Bike. International riders must carry a valid license and IDP & Valid travel related documents where applicable.
Since when has Date A Bike been operating?

Do you offer one-way motorcycle rentals?
Yes. One-way rentals are available between Chennai, Bengaluru, Madurai and Kochi subject to Pre booking and is Chargeable..

Yes there is a security deposit we collect which is refundable. The amount differs based on the model and the distance travelled and States Covered during the trip.
