"Chennai Stories" is a ride across the streets of Chennai, covering some of the most important landmarks in the city. Exploring and riding around the city on a motorcycle gives you a feel of the local culture and the rich heritage the city has to offer

07:00 AM: Arrive at your hotel / Date a Bike and do the necessary formalities with a small debriefing
07:30 AM: Ride starts and we will be heading towards the old part of the city which is called the Parry’s Corner. This ride could take up to 45 minutes.
From there you would be visiting the war memorial and the zero mile of Chennai
Victory War Memorial: Formerly called the Cupids Bow is a memorial in Chennai originally constructed to commemorate the victory of allied armies during World War 1 and later became the victory war memorial for WW II erected in the memory of those from the Madras Presidency who lost their lives
You can go inside the war memorial for some photographs
Fort St George: Historically called the “White Town”, this is the first English Fortress in India founded way back in 1644. In those days, it is said that the city evolved around the fortress
The fort currently houses the TN Government Legistlative assembly and other official buildings.
The fort museum which is the only ticketed institution of the ASI exhibits many items of the English and later British rule
This museum is closed on Fridays
Ride along the Marina beach, a natural urban beach in Chennai running for about 6 KMs and making it the longest Urban beach in the country. This is also India’s longest and world’s second longest beach
09:30 AM: Have a short break and stop over for a coffee
10:00 AM: Visit the light house to get an aerial view of the ocean and the city. This is a lighthouse facing the Bay of Bengal and is a famous landmark. This is also one of the few lighthouses in the world which has an elevator, the only lighthouse in India which is inside the city limits and also a green lighthouse which uses solar panel for power
This lighthouse marks the end of the promenade
10:30 AM: Saint Thomas Cathedral Basilica
Santhome church is a roman catholic basilica in the city of Chennai. It was built in the 16th century by the Portuguese over the tomb of Saint Thomas, one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus.
11:00 AM: Ride towards the Mylapore Temple also known as the Kapaleeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is an ancient one and dates back to 7th century built in Dravidian architecture. The original temple which was earlier located where the Santhome Basilica lies now is said to have been destroyed by the Portuguese to build the Basilica.
Later walk around the place to get a glimpse of Mylapore.
12:15 PM: Head for an authentic “Thali” (Lunch). You can relax here for a while and enjoy the lunch
13:30 PM – 13:45 Hrs: Head towards Dakshin Chitra which is living museum dedicated to South Indian Heritage and culture. You will reach by appx 14:30 Hrs
You could opt to visit the Crocodile Bank, which is one of the largest reptile zoos in the world.
14:00 PM: Ride back to Date a Bike. You could relax a while and head back to the hotel in a taxi
